Rusty Yeager, chief information officer of Encompass Health, will participate on a cybersecurity panel at the Long Term and Post Acute Care Health IT (LTPAC) Summit occurring June 24-26 at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C. The summit is organized by LeadingAge, an association for nonprofit providers of aging services, and its Center for Aging Services Technologies (CAST).
Rusty has more than 20 years of healthcare information technology experience and more than 10 years of increasing responsibilities in information technology leadership at Encompass Health, formerly known as HealthSouth. Additionally, he served as a medical service corps officer specializing in healthcare information technology in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio, a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and an executive certificate in management and leadership from MIT’s Sloan School of Management. Rusty has been named as one of CIO magazine’s “Ones to Watch” and Encompass Health’s Information Technology Group was recently named to the magazine’s “Top 100” list for the implementation of its BEACON business intelligence and reporting system. He is a member of numerous professional organizations including the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and is a senior member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
